Responsibilities

Community Leadership:

Lead the Mathematician community by driving process improvements, innovative game play and technology solutions, and the adoption of best practices across the studio.

Mentor and support game mathematicians at all levels, fostering their professional growth and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.

Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for advancement within the mathematician community.

Advocate for mathematician community goals in studio-wide discussions, aligning community and game development strategies with business objectives.

Balance the immediate demands of designing math and mechanics as a game team member, with long-term improvements for the mathematician community.

Technical Community Contributions:

Develop and implement tools or frameworks that enhance efficiency and accuracy in slot math creation.

Introduce systemic improvements to slot math workflows, ensuring scalability and adaptability for future projects.

Collaborate with game designers, engineers, and project managers to align math systems with creative and technical goals.

Embedded Mathematician Responsibilities: 
-
Collaborate directly with game designers, engineers, and artists as part of a game team to create and refine slot math models that meet gameplay objectives.

Design and validate advanced slot math models and frameworks for innovative gameplay mechanics that align with creative goals as well as technical and jurisdictional requirements.

Analyze player performance data to refine and optimize slot math for engagement and profitability.

Track and resolve math-related bugs during development, ensuring a high standard of quality for deliverables.

Provide actionable feedback to enhance the balance, pacing, and excitement of the gameplay experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
-
Proven expertise in slot game mathematics, including paytable design, probability modeling, and regulatory compliance.

5+ years of experience in slot game development, with a track record of creating high-performing games.

Strong leadership skills, including mentoring and leading game mathematicians toward achieving professional growth.

Proficiency with slot math tools such as Excel and at least one coding language. ​

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines while managing competing priorities.
